About Tulsa Doulas Inc

We encourage pregnant moms to look  around our website for a doula that will meet her needs in her pregnancy and birth. Doulas provide a valuable service to women that is worth the time and money. Please visit our directory to meet the Tulsa Doulas!

DONEOK was a non-profit organization founded in 1993 by Cheri Grant, RN, ICCE, CLE, CD(DONA),BDT(DONA) Birth Doula Trainer.  She served as the first President of Doulas of Northeast Oklahoma.   We officially incorporated as Tulsa Doulas Inc in 2014.  We continue to be a source for referrals and educating the community about the work of doulas. To learn about training as a doula, connect here.

We offer a support group for area Doulas in Tulsa and surrounding areas to learn from one another, and to share our experiences as Doulas. We offer an online directory of our members and their businesses to help women in the Tulsa area locate a doula for their birth. We have members of all different levels  of experience, training, and background.

Members of Tulsa Doulas have provided hundreds and thousands of families with doula support since 1993.  We encourage those interested in being a Doula to attend a training workshop and pursue certification.  Certification may take a a few months to a few years. Tulsa Doulas encourages doulas to continue their education. Many of our doulas offer mentoring to newly trained doulas as part of our support group.  Our membership is comprised mainly of Doulas, but we allow anyone interested in becoming a Doula or who is supportive of the work of Doulas to become a member of Tulsa Doulas Inc.
