I first fell in love with babies as a nursing student and worked in the NICU at Children’s Hospital in OKC. Upon graduation, I began working in Labor and Delivery and fell in love with birth! When my first birth ended in a cesarean section, I was determined to VBAC my next baby. I found out about doulas and hired one for my VBAC birth. I have been a certified birth doula with DONA for over 15 years, and practicing for over 20. I am also A Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. I have personally had 8 VBAC births, and my last one a home birth. I am mom to 9 kids.
I have been trained through the Stillbirthday Doula program and I am working on my certification. I maintain my RN license and RNC In-Patient OB Certification. I am TENS unit certified and Rebozo trained. I recently became trained and am seeking certification as a Dancing For Birth Class Instructor. I offer various pricing for my services and offer reduced fees for military, service personnel, teachers and Soonercare as well as families using a midwife. I also recently completed DONA postpartum doula training.
Giselle Chebny completed the 2013 DONA Birth Doula workshop. She is an experienced labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital. She will continue to use her doula skills and experience teaching childbirth classes.
